Another use case for how AI is changing our world, and one that seems really practical, has come to light.
Google Photos has introduced a feature called Best Take that helps improve group photos. After taking a series of pictures, users can select the Best Take feature in Google Photos, which automatically creates the best possible image, combining different facial expressions from the pictures taken.
The feature uses AI models to analyze the images, identify sequences of photos, and suggest images where subjects are looking at the camera and smiling. Users also have the option to select their preferred expressions for a more personalized image.
In my book, this is all about making AI more “useful” and accessible versus being for the early adopters who are all gaga over what it can do when there are applications like Best Take that are making it available to the masses in a way that is easy-to-use by just about anyone with a smartphone.
