This Cisco experiment is clearly Voice 2.0. Enable walkie talkies to communicate over IP. Can you say Push To Talk (PTT) on steroids. Take a look at Sonim and Fast Mobile, two companies already in the space with really good PTT for the non SexTel (Sprint/Nextel) users.
Teledex is a company to keep an eye on. With a little bit of help from some friends they can displace Cisco and Avaya in many ways with their VoIP products. Hat tip to EnGadget.
