Earthlink is moving bigger into VoIP. I spoke to their folks a few months back and know of their multi-tiered approach to get into the game. Also, with SK-Earthlink coming on line and already making Sprint nervous it’s not time to sell them short. Think of Earthlink as the WalMart of ISP’s.
A watcher of satellite ISP WildBlue reports that latency remains an issue and VoIP may be a challenge. For some though, this will be the first step toward finding nirvana. But one day soon, the latency issue will be resolved.

I’m sure the folks at Motorola will be thrilled to see their telephone adapter pictured in Ted’s story about how to hack the Vonage version of the Linksys Telephone Adapter. That said, I would be concerned if I’m Jeff Citron. Who knows what someone might do to them, as they are SIP based. Knowing Michael … Read more

Packet8, Broadvoice, VoicePulse, Vonage and AT&T all have sent me the notices, and with Vonage and AT&T, since I pay for them, I have had no difficulty making sure that my … Read more
