Good Fortune

Fortune Technology Editor Daniel Roth has really captured the essence of SKYPE in a recent article that ran late in January. While you may need to register or be a Fortune subscriber, the general thought I have is that there is much more to SKYPE than a free voice chat coming. What we don’t know … Read more

Consumer Press on Two Carriers

I always chuckle when the consumer press writes about what we in the early adopter world know is already fact as if it’s news. Introducing Primus

The Ottawa Business Journal has brought to light that Primus is now live in Canada. While it’s a company that is similar to Vonage in scope, they require at present, a static IP address. That will hurt them when it comes to the USA market, as most of the broadband ISPs seem to be dynamic.

Hands On, But Gently

The New York Post recognizes that VoIP is more a when than an if. In the article they even recognize VON, though I’m not sure how accurate they were, as working towards a more hands off, less restictive form of regulation.

To Regulate or Not Regulate

Tech Central Station reports on Michael Powell and VoIP in what is more of an editorial than a news story. The post, which is more about old school vs. new school, emphasizes once again why VoIP should not be regulated.
