In August I was interviewed by the Boulder (CO) Daily Camera about VoIP.
The reporter, Matt Branaugh did a really good job at capturing the essence of the story. What I really dig is how he talked to both Om Malik and I, and also fellow blogger Keith Bare who lives near Boulder and resells Packet8. It seems Bloggers are now getting as much respect as analysts in the eyes of reporters.
Given that Level 3 is in the backyard of Boulder, I expected the story to have that kind of slant and provided commentary that was appropriate and germain to the audience. Same with Qwest in Denver.
AT&T has the most experienced network. Level3 and Qwest both are their likely rivals. After that it’s all a positioning game and reports are that despite all the hype, Level3 isn’t scaling as well as AT&T (or even QWEST) but they do have a massive reselling effort and a ton of business/enterprise clients so Level3 remains worth keeping an eye on as they seem to have built some momentum around the AOL planned VoIP release.
Which reports claim that Level 3 does not scale as well as Qwest or AT&T?
YOU are assuming that ATT scaling is totally 100% pure ONLY ATT……..question remains, WHOSE CAR is that VOIP registered to when you go INSIDE THE GLOVE BOX of that Dorfman mobile???????
can SPRINT ramp as quickly and can ATT expand by themselves as they could “”JOINING “” the Level3 VOIP WOG MObile????????
