The Communications Workers of America has issued a statement regarding their opposition to the US Senate’s VoIP Freedom Bill.
Their claim is the bill is not in the best interest of the public. What they are really saying is the more rapid deployment of VoIP and migration of the public from PSTN to VoIP will put more workers out of jobs.
My advice to phone insallers. Apply with the cable company. Cable is still being installed in peoples homes and the business market for cable tv is about to explode. Go where the work will be, not where it has been.
