Packet 8 and Motorola get some nice coverage in today’s Wall Street Journal about their videophone technology.
My experience with the Packet 8 VideoPhone has been fine. The quality is very good. I only wish it was WiFi, as I hate keeping it plugged to the router, and have to be there, when my “office” is someplace else in the house.
Videophones have been tried before, but now they seem to be gaining speed. The WSJ also mentioned the software product SightSpeed, something I’ve tried and am rather impressed with that with a newer video cam on your PR provides almost 30 fps type video and excellent audio.
