Investors Business Daily, the second paper for financial news in the USA behind the Wall Street Journal has a long piece about Vonage and their recent $105 million dollar series D fund raising round.
One inaccuracy is the pricing of some of the Vonage competitors. For example, CallVantage is $19.99 a month to start for now six months. That’s ten dollars less than Vonage or $60. It would take more than 13 months of service before Vonage was less costly overall than AT&T’s service. My guess is by then, AT&T and Vonage both will reevaluate pricing. Packet 8 is also less expensive than Vonage as is VoicePulse.
