After pausing in the wake of the Hurricanes in Florida that devestated many locales, AT&T proceeded last night with the upgrade of their CallVantage service.
While many of the upgrades are transparent to the user the most obvious new addition is the ability to add up to nine easy to reach numbers from different area codes. That’s pretty neat. I added a 212 and a 215, as I’ve always wanted a New York number, and I grew up in Philadelphia so getting one there means Mom and family won’t have to dial so many digits or incur long distance charges. I made the two additions and it was working instantly.
AT&T also added a neat feature to their call record logs. In addition to showing calls placed and received, they now show which of your termination phone numbers (home, office, cell, other) you answered the call.
Now, for those who have multiple partners out there and who figured out that you can have the phone ring in multiple “friends” boudoirs, be on guard. Should one find this list, and know you’re with another, being had may have just gotten easier.
