There’s a good article that pretty much sums up the Skype experience in today’s USA Today.
It mirrors my view and personal experience. I’ve talked regularly to friends back home with Skype because it’s free and they are in front of their PCs. But for a busines grade conversation I’ve switched to a VoIP provider either by softphone or using one of the TA’s I’m carrying.
I tried a Skype out call yesterday to a cell phone in Rome and had no success. But Skype is in their early days..and those bugs will likely get worked out.
