The folks from Skype would say it is. I say no. It’s evolving via revolutionary companies like Skype, SipPhone, Popular Telephony.
All are run by seriel start up visionaries. All seek to change the old way something has been done.
That doesn’t mean telecom is dead. Even AT&T is evolving. The move from PSTN centricity to IP network based business is very much an indication that they are evolving.
These are exciting times for telecom.
