The Detroit New recaps much of what we know already about SBC’s planned entry into VoIP.
What wasn’t reported and actually tossed a MSO PR type for a loop was the fact that SBC will make the VoIP available to any broadband user. That includes customer of other DSL providers and cable providers of high speed Internet access.
This clearly is SBC’s way to get more market share and migrate their PSTN customer who have cable Internet to their VoIP service.
