Jeff organized a nice dinner last night in Palo Alto with three Palo Alto professors. I found out that lots of people in the VoIP space love wine and now all want to visit the Andy wine cellar. In case you didn’t know I enjoy wine, collect wine, write about wine. The wines were good, especially the Prosecco which was refreshing.
The talk was not that much about the paper, that will happen mid day today and Jeff promises a copy of the case study will come my way soon.
A lot of the discussion was about the SBC issue, the Pennsylvania decision about prohibiting the City of Philadelphia from deploying a WiFi network of their own (where’s the brotherly love Verizon?) and the tax issues facing VoIP players.
Jeff tells me the case study is about Free World Dialup. I look forward to reading it and with his permission will post it on the server once I receive it.
