2005 VoIP Predictions by Tom Keating who makes some rather interesting prognostications for the upcoming year.
My predictions will likely come in the New Year. I actually want to see what happens at CES in January to get a better feel of what’s happening within the space. Pulver’s leading the VoIP consumer summit there, Vonage and Linksys are sponsoring so it looks like a rather big to-do.
If 2004 was the year VoIP got big, 2005 will be the year that VoIP and PSTN become virtually indistinguishable to the consumers. VoIPWars will really begin and the idea of the Global Carrier more of a reality than it is even now.
