Advanced IP Pipeline | Parus Unveils Retail-Store Voice Apps and Tom Keating both hit the mark on a subtle shift in direction for the company formerly known as Webley, as the newly named Parus Interactive rolls out a speech driven retail interactive voice response solution for multi-location retailers.
The idea of using SIP, natural language speech, hosted services and IVR all points to my earlier posts that it will be applications that drive VoIP, not simply POTS replacement.
FWIW-I’ve used Webley since 1999 and know how it has improved from year to year. The latest version of their test group IP Unified Messaging platform is fantastic and when coupled with a softphone lightyears ahead of anything from any other VoIP provider offering a softphone.
