Blogging Challenged

Richard entitled his post “Blogging handicapped” but to be more PC I’d like to call it Blogging Challenged, just like the physically, or in some cases, the more mentally challenged can be (and no I’m not excluding the ADD/ADHD in this group).

In his post he pokes some fun and also brings out some very salient points about the way operators and newly formed companies seem to approach things, most notably, that it’s the customer that really matters. Gee I wonder why if that Dollar Rent a A Car telephone support rep ever read Richard or heard of the phrase, “customer centric” when he told me that in 110 degree heat a non functioning air conditioner didn’t warrant sending out a tow truck and his demand that if I wanted a functioning a/c unit to take the car back to the airport (total time spent 1.5 hours)….Cost to Dollar (a 20 dollar credit) not to mention the bad press.

Then to the Dollar station manager’s credit at the airport he immediately swapped out the car and did apologize citing they were just overloaded and understaffed. Not his fault, buy someone at corporate no doubt đŸ™‚
