Wondering what to get that special someone this year for back to school or the holidays? Well if you follow the views of one of CompUSA’s top merchandisers, it’s going to be VoIP.
That’s got to be good news for the folks at AT&T, Vonage, Zoom and Packet8, all of whom have products in the CompUSA aisles.
Speaking of product in the aisles, according to store checks @ Frys and elsewhere the Vonage Wireless Router upgrade is hardly moving at all for Linksys and Vonage. The in aisle cardboard kiosks (i..e shipper displays) are all over Frys, full, and according to the sales folks, no one seems to be asking about them, and when pressed, they don’t know what makes one item different from the other Vonage telephone adapters.
