I’ve been hearing for months from the dissident and downright upset Packet8 shareholders about how dreadful they feel the company is performing, while one or two others seem to think it’s the 1980 Olympic Hockey Team with pal Mike Eruzione and the late Herbie Brooks. Maybe Bryan Martin thinks Al Michael will say “Do You Beleive in Miracles.”
Well if I read both Keating and Shaw, somebody better.
Shaw says “The Discussion is so downcast, it really appears the best way out for Packet 8’s award-winning service is to be sold off to a technology hungry carrier out to expand or inaugurate VoIP service.”
While Keating pipes in with the following: “Russell Shaw over at ZDNet has some insights into Packet8’s recent quarterly report where it appears Packet8 is bleeding money. Russell suggests that Packet8 “pack it up pack it in” and sell to Sprint or Quest.
May I suggest that all their marketing dollars spent on product placement in shows like 24 and Alias be pulled back? Of course, there is the argument that the worse thing you can do when losing money is to cut your marketing budget. Marketing helps bring in business after all.”
Ouch !!
