I’m getting concerned that this may be a circular rumor.
Not sure why, but consider the facts.
An analyst from a big firm makes a speculation.
A Yahoo person I know tells me there’s nothing to it, or at least not yet.
I’d love to talk to the analyst at Piper..maybe I’ll call him tomorrow.
If anything Yahoo doesn’t want to tick off Verizon or SBC. Same for BT.
So all thoughts go towards something sorta heard, about something sorta discussed in a briefing, that was sorta old news being presented as new news.
