I recently updated some of my PC’s to the final version of Yahoo Messenger and saw that Net2Phone is the partner for IP to PSTN termination.
Given the acquisition of DialPad I’m a tad misfused about why Yahoo is using someone else’s solution when they now have the technology. My best guess is that NTOP goes bye-bye once the Dialpad integration is completed. Translation. Yahoo has some work to do.
I’m also hearing that Yahoo or News Corp may be in deep discussions with SipPhone about Gizmo Project. That would explain the flurry of Michael Robertson quotes in the press of late and his out reach efforts. He did the same thing before he sold MP3.com. Time will tell.
