I’m sure after reading Russell’s latest pipe-dream that the NTOP fans (i.e. Shareholders) are standing there hopeful, just like many of the Katrina victims hoping for that one big miracle. The shareholders must be hoping that the God at NTOP and IDT really make a sale outside the family possible.
NOT.
With everyone looking to acquire VoIP enabling technology (i.e. Yahoo buying Dialpad, MSN buying Teleo and of course eBay buying Skype) there has to be some hope in Mudville. But alas, that’s not going to happen. The NTOP technology is very valuable to cable operators. IDT is playing serious footsie in that arena. Then there is the Current play too, which has to be electrifying to many of the IDT crowd.
So even with all the paper Amazon may have in its stacks, the chances of that story having a happy ending are very thin. At the end of the day all that happens is IDT buys back its step-child.
