So is it a million lines or a million customers for Vonage?
It seems they’re playing word games with Jeffrey Citron saying one million lines. Now an announcement from their Canadian Internet Infrastructure partner it says “million customers.”
The rub here is with the ambiguity it means that the media and the analyst community will now have to discern just what million is being referenced. Now, the way it’s written the implication is that between Canada and the USA has one million Vonage customers. So that means there are less than 1,000,000 customers of Vonage in the USA. Right? Who knows, and that’s the challenge now with Vonage’s numbers.
In my mind the ambiguity is more of a negative than a positive when it comes to their quest to exit.
