This is a must read. Not only do I agree with Vint Cerf, I also feel that this is one of the most clearly written letters on a position that impacts us all.
Network Newtrality, aka anti-portblocking, anti-packet filtering, or the elimination of service providers to doctor how your Internet connection behaves when you run Skype or a P2P tool, is a huge, burning issue.
Cerf in speaking out is going beyond Googles’ own self interest and taking a position for all users, risking that those same service providers want to then take on Google.
I don’t see that day coming, not if the service providers are smart. Oh right. That could be in question.
