The San Francisco Chronicle’s Ryan Kim has a nice recap of the expanding use of Wireless Data cards by companies here in California.
While the cards, either EvDO (Sprint and Verizon) or UMTS/EDGE from Cingular are useful on downloads, the upload speeds, and the potential restriction of what you can use them for remain the big hurdles.
As a user of the Verizon Broadband Access I know how valuable these cards are to working anywhere.
