The disruption though, may not first hit the traditional voice companies like AT&T, BT and such, but Skype and the other renegade VoIP types of plays that are out there.
The fit for federation lies with the likes of Yahoo, AOL and MSN, plus of course Google and Apple, all of who have software, content and hosting types of plays between them that actually have them owning a customer relationship that are of the kind that matter. They generate real revenue.
