The concept of VoIP Phishing is rapidly coming to light. With almost free or now free Skype minutes into the USA this has opened the door to all kinds of scams to get information from you.
Basically, I’m no longer giving up financial or any kind of identification information to people who call me. Surveys are history by phone. So are the calls from the credit card companies. If they want to reach me I will politely ask for their name and extension, then call the number on my card or statement.
Since I pay my bills on time there is little reason for anyone to be calling.
