TechDirt more than alludes to how Vonage was working with a spyware company to get new customers based on an article found in Business Week.
Vonage is turning out to be the PR nightmare of the year. Not only is their stock in the tank, but their not really doing anything to make moves that signal either investor, or media confidence.
I personally, while being a Vonage customer regularly received spam emails and even asked their PR queen Brooke Schulz to have me removed. In expected fashio Brooke said it was the outside agency who did those list buys so I’m fully expecting the same type of reaction as a defense to this one from Vonage.
