One has to know first that Martin Geddes is one of the brightest minds outside of a telco who would be dangerous if allowed inside. His concoctions could mean adoption of new ideas, and being that he used to work at Sprint, his recipes for success in VoIP are the kind of dishes that could spell disaster for the old school telecom companies that Sprint views as it’s competition.
In his post “Press 1 To Kill A Telco” one only has to look at the ingredients Sir Martin has assembled for his “Devil’s Brew.”
This is a tasty post and really worth you time over a nice cup of tea, or in Sprint’s case, kicking back with a “cold one,” given how hot it’s been in Overland Park lately. While you smile at Martin’s thoughts knowing how innovation and creativity are bubbling under the surface there, while the anemic competition from Qwest and Verizon is just about cooked.
