VoIP News Touts Top VoIP Innovations in 2007

VoIP New’s Robert Poe has picked some 25 or so very cool and innovative companies who have come up with innovation in the VoIP universe for 2007. The list is far flung and includes the likes of Fonality, Microsoft, Ooma (with a mention of PhoneGnome –again), Polycom, Digium, and others, including two agency clients, Junction Networks and TalkPlus.

Poe’s point about innovation not being at all stifled is clear, especially with companies like Ribbit making news this week, and others like Jajah, Mobivox, Mig33, YouMail and more taking unique approaches to the telephony world.

While lists like this are always very subjective, I’d also add in alumni client GrandCentral. Given their win with Google this year and what’s in store down the road (just a guess) I’d have to say that Vincent and Craig’s little company deserves some level of honorable mention even if they launched in 2006 :-).
