Tom Keating at TMCNet has a sneaky suspicion that AT&T is going to kill off CallVantage, perhaps the best mass market implementation of VoIP around for consumers.
As a long time user of CallVantage that would be sad. It worked as it does today the day it was launched. The number of service related issues I have ever had can be counted on one hand, and everyone of them was ATA related.
Personally, I hope Tom’s wrong….not to prove him wrong, but because like the old line, “if nothing’s broke, don’t fix it.” That’s how I view CallVantage.
To the team that worked on it, I hope you know someone out here appreciates a product that does what it says, and simply works without having the user do anything except plug it in. CallVantage really is simply “Plug n’ Play.”
