I ended up taking the late afternoon flight from Seattle to Newark (EWR) and instead of paying for an extra night in New York City where I’ll be the next three days in meetings, I decided an airport hotel, the Spring Hill Suites by Marriott, Newark Airport, would suffice, thus saving a few hundred dollars.
The speeds of the hotel Internet are decent enough for lightweight work, but not blazing fast. Honestly, I can get better speeds using an HSUPA 3G data card, plus, if you use a travel router like me and want to have multiple devices connected, there’s a constant log on/log off issue.
