Truphone in New York Times

A few weeks ago it was the Wall Street Journal giving attention to client Truphone. Now it’s the New York Times’ Practical Traveler.

While the report is not glowing, its feedback like that which makes companies take notice and address the comments, first internally, then externally.

Candidly, I’ve yet to have any issues with Truphone on either the Nokia N or Eseries devices or even on the iPhone, but I’m usually using the Apple Airport Extreme or Airport Express so I rarely see connectivity issues.

Also, since I do my best to be on quality broadband, Truphone seems to excel. But even on my home cable modem network, with a paltry 1.5 megabit upload, the sound is always pristine. I’ve also tethered Truphone over 3G from iPhone to Nokia E71 and held calls over 3G directly. Without fail, Truphone has come through loud and clear.

But don’t take my word for it, take one of their friendly indirect competitors.
