Lots is going on and this week starts what I am calling “A Might Fine 2009” in VoIP, Video and Telecom.
As broadband continues to proliferate, and as faster speeds with Mobile Broadband opens up the world over, many of the dreams and hopes of developers will become a reality. Cloud computing, long thought as only the ASP model will gain steam. SIP and SIP based video will begin to make dramatic inroads, and companies with vision, market understanding and the right stuff will grow. A down economy is only that for those who choose to sit back and wait it out. Victory will come to those that seize the opportunities without waiting.
Next week on Wednesday Under The Radar happens with clients Palringo, Mobivox and iotum all presenting. That night Lee Dryburgh has his eComm dinner in Burlingame (a few spots remain). In attendance will be some eTel and eComm luminaries, making for a Grand old time to be talking about Phone…The next day in SF GigaOm’s NewTeeVee Live and later that night, the UberGizmo awards and party.
And that leaves Friday….
Sandwiched around all this are meetings with some very hip new companies that are off the grid right now, but as soon as they become known the fun really begins.
