Client GIPS today announced that Citrix, known very well for Go To Meeting, will be deploying the GIPS Voice Engine and the Voice Conference Engine.
Last fall Citrix acquired VAPPS, best known for its HighDef Conferencing platform so the move makes a lot of sense.
As someone who spends a lot of time on conference calls the wideband codec from GIPS is what sets the calls apart from the cheap stuff. Many people forget that Skype’s original success when early adopters said, “it sounds better” was all based on GIPS Voice platform.
