Yuk!!! I just received unsolicited SPAM from a MagicJack reseller.
I’ve opted out of the list so let’s see what happens.
P.S. I was talking to a person in a bar recently who shared with me how they are using Magic Jack. They use the service for what they call “a disposable dating number” to remain really anonymous. How anonymous I asked? The address isn’t even a real address, but is a combination of numbers and a misspelled street name. So much for E911 verification. The address doesn’t even exist.
The person basically said that this way no one can really find them, no matter how hard they look, if they don’t want to be found. After a few dates the person shares a real home, work or mobile number (in reverse order) and keeps their privacy, something the late, lamented TalkPlus was poised to provide.
Note: MagicJack’s PR person was concerned about the spam. I provided her as much in the way of detail of who the spammer was.
