I’ve long been a fan of the wines from Paso Robles, first getting hooked back in the day with wines from Justin, and then the wines truest of true Rhone Clones, the elegant and always sought after wines from Tablas Creek, which remain to this day some of my favorites. Well to bring the wines closer to market, the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance has announced a tour to three parts of California over the next few months.
San Diego is first up, over a three day period from February 23rd to 25th, before going on a slight hiatus and heading North to Sacramento in April (19th and 20th) and then over to Palo Alto (21st and 22nd.)
These events are geared to broaden consumer’s awareness of wines from the new and upstart producers in a region and usually provide a great opportunity for the public to get to try new wines they previously have only heard about or never seen for sale locally.
Note to local: For those along the San Diego North County Coast, you can usually find wines from some of the better Paso Robles producers at Cardiff Seaside Market.
