The 2008 Torbreck Woodcutter’s Shiraz is out and at less than $22.00 is the new release for 2008. And this year they tossed in all the juice that was destined for the Run Rig, and opted to put it in the Woodcutter’s Shiraz. Run Rig is normally four to five times that price, when you can get your hands on it, here in the USA, and while this wine sees some neutral oak, unlike the unoaked Juveniles, for pure Syrah flavor at a BBQ this summer or fall, this is a killer bottle to take off the shelf and out of the cellar.
