This news is a week or more old but if nothing more, it's clever and immaginative. A few airlines flying out of Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport will use Skype to enable passengers to check in and then print their boarding pass. Passengers will be able to call Sheremetyevo and then do all the same things they normally do at the ticketing/check in counter.
