In my chat last week with Erik Lagerway I described to him my view of what he’s setting out to do with Lypp. I called it the next evolution of what Asterisk started for VoIP developers.
Last night he sent me a link that brings that kind of dream into the realm of reality.
This is significant because it means more rapid development of VoIP technologies will occur and that means greater advancement and more differentiation from Voice 1.0 will emerge more quickly.
For developers Lypp is something new to work with. Being based upon Ruby On Rails means that Lypp will surely get the attention of technology leaders like Jeff Bonforte of Yahoo, as it was he he first brought to my attention just what power Ruby on Rails has to offer the voice community about two years ago.
