While a lot of attention is being paid to all the activities at CES, and there are a lot, we can’t but notice two very significant news items out of the UK that impact the VoIP scene.
First BT is making WiFi a part of their Fusion service and aiming it towards the business market initially.
Next is even more impressive and I couldn’t be happier. TruPhone secured almost twenty five million dollars in funding to expand their efforts. I’ve met the team behind TruPhone on two occasions, use their software and have watched their progress since May of 2006. They are an enterprising lot of gents who bring that “we can do this” attitude to work with them everyday. What’s more is their software works from the get go. This is also an impressive amount of money to be raised by any start-up. Congrats.
