Today I found a bunch of "interesting" watches and reads for you.  The first item is from a company I'm advising, Telzio. They're a small, Los Angeles startup with big ideas. They're taking advantage of the Amazon Echo's API to show innovation. Speaking of the API, if you're at IT Expo next week in Fort Lauderdale, I'll be moderating a Keynote Panel on Wednesday. Uber usage by business travelers surpassed taxi and car rentals in 2015

With the growing popularity of on-demand services, it's only natural to see their appeal not only in the consumer space, but also to business users. According to Certify, a provider of travel and expense report management software — in 2015, for the first time, more people used Uber (41 percent) than taxis (20 percent) or rental cars (39 percent) while on business trips.

ESPN exec: Sling TV 'significant' but Apple is 'frustrated'

FreedomPop Raises Global Stakes

FreedomPop, a startup that targets mobile voice and data services to cost-conscious consumers, said it has raised $50 million more while introducing a new "global" hotspot. Apple to open first iOS App Development Center in Europe, plans to expand

Apple on Thursday announced plans to open its first iOS App Development Center in Naples, Italy to provide practical skills and training so they can contribute to the growing app ecosystem. According to the announcement, Apple will partner with a local institution to develop a curriculum with hopes of adding to an already diverse developer community.
