It's going to be hard to 'resistor.' A life-like cyborg was unveiled this week by engineers at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore- – and is being touted as the first emotionally intelligent humanoid. Nadine has been working as a university receptionist to test her skills — expressing a range of emotions and changing moods depending on the subject and tone of her conversations, according to UPI.

U.S. Broadband Speeds Tripled in 3.5 Years

In an effort to keep up with an increasingly data-dependent society, U.S. broadband speeds have tripled over the past 3.5 years. The Federal Communications Commission's fifth Measuring Broadband America report, released Wednesday, said average download speeds increased to nearly 31 megabits per second (Mbps) in September 2014 – up from 10 Mbps in March 2011.

Significant new products in 2015

Here's my take on some of the more interesting and significant products for 2015. Apple Watch – The eagerly-anticipated Apple Watch finally arrived, and once again showed Apple's unrivaled skills in design and integration of software and hardware. While not a must-have, it's a useful tool for helping us do small tasks.
