Now this is really something cool, and it’s more cool because it support the concept I’ve been saying for some time, Skype is a Pipe, not a VoIP application only.
While I’m not sure if this is a Skype developer certified adaptation using the Skype API, but Timbuktu Pro will now support Skype on both PC’s and Windows platforms meaning you can use your Skype connection to another user via P2P to connect and run two way sessions.
Long before VoIP was popular Timbuktu had a voice app built in. It was rudimentary but it worked. Now with this they have really lit a fire and will start a whole new wave of collaboration via the ‘Net. The fact that they claim the ability to trigger a Skype call from within Timbuktu is also a key advancement.
