MobileMag on the Zyxel Prestige

Mobile Mag has a review of the Zyxel Prestige 2000. Overall, after using one for a few months I tend to agree with the report.

My main concern has been battery life and sound quality. While better in both worlds than the original release, there still is a long way to go for these devices to become consumer friendly.

First the set up requires you to have and know where to apply your SIP credentials, and your wireless WEP details (if you WEP). More interestingly is the nomenclature for some of the settings has changed from the way they were labeled in the original release of the 1000.

All that aside, the Prestige 2000 performs rather well in most situations and for those who need access to the phone network in places were WiFi is cell phones aren’t it sure is a useful device.
