Computerworld – Telecom keeping a wary eye on Skype and can you read the fear in their words. The FUD from the NZ Telco person is unreal.
The fact that Skype and others are using Global IP Sound’s Codec means high levels of voice compression. That means less need for bandwidth and speed.
Sometimes I wish the so called MSM (mainstream media) would go beyond the noise, fear and misapplied uncertainties and report on what the real story is. There are new services that will change how people communicate. Period. That’s the story. Not the migration.
Andy says if you want to write about migration, write about birds.
