Bellster Battles Brewing

The Jeff Pulver Blog: A day in the Blogsphere… has three colleagues, peers and really all the makings of friendly sparring and verbal jousting taking place.

Om weighed in with the costs in one of his recent over the weekend blog posts. One thing I know is Om knows numbers and financials of the business side of things about as well as anyone. In the other corner is friend Aswath Rao who provides a great summary of what everyone is writing (aside from the lame traditional press that is only following up on press release journalism).

I understand Om’s points clearly. If the telcos say this violates their terms of service, or if you look at termination costs on an international level today for calls designed to terminate on a cell phone you will see that the costs could make this prohibitive. Give the first fall to Om. Then Aswath popped up, tossing in his perspective, followed by Jeff. Right now Om has the edge, but Pulver’s comment about being misunderstood being better has me thinking there’s another card up his sleeve.

Given the intelligence of the three way dance sparring partners, and how all three players are on my Blog Panel at VON in March, late Wednesday afternoon. Clearly this is shaping up to be a topic that I think will be best settled in San Jose, mano a mano !

Maybe now Jeff know’s why I asked for a referees jersey for the event.
