Colleague James Enck has a great viewpoint on Skype over at TheBroadbandDaily.com which I also write for.
James is letting his hair down a bit on this post and showing fire, passion and clear cut understanding of the landscape that Skype is, or should be playing in.
My view is Skype is the ICQ of this wave of Internet, or I should say, VoIP. It will spur on radical new ways of communications and pave the way for other platforms that will likely gain more “commercial” success, while Skype maintains the “cult” of users it births and attracts.
