My flight through what is called a mechanical and being it was the red eye it meant, find another plane and two hour or so delay.
My trip was already built around a series of meetings and conference calls, three of which would have happened before the new flight arrival time. Since I’m someone who hates the word cancel I chose to go the alternative route.
Three conference calls by staying on the West Coast, and getting four hours sleep I likely would not have gotten on the plane, plus no Zombie like feelings that would have carried over through the weekend.
I regret missing my panel and seeing many of my friends and colleagues, but fighting the clock is not something where anyone can win at, and time as I always say is the biggest enemy we have.
