Gizmo Project To Get Better

I hear reports that Level3 will become the new underlying supplier to SipPhone’s GizmoProject. That’s great news as it will improve the quality (which was already better than Skype IMHO) by a ton and really help them with their International termination efforts.

I Want One Too VoIP/WiFi Router

Oh would this be good for me. I have SIP credentials with Junction Networks and a DID that I ported over from Vonage recently, so if I could get one too, I could use it in all kinds of places as I travel, just like the WiFi Phone, but Hard Wired.

Ken Camp on Market Saturation and Walled Gardens

Ken mentions walled gardens being a problem, which I agree with, as I remain a strong advocate of Federations, beyond those on Star Trek. So too does Gizmo Project Michael Robertson, Google and client at PhoneGnome’s David Beckemeyer who already has PhoneGnome interoperable with Robertson’s Gizmo Project and other SIP networks.
