Wheat Wireless, a company that is placing Wi-Fi on the high seas has added VoIP to its cadre of services.
This is a direct threat to Satellite telephony providers as the cost savings is significant.

Hmmm, this press release suggests that up to 11Mbps is available 30 miles out to sea. The TeleSea Web site only guarantees this bandwidth when you use their service that is restricted to the marina.
Is this really possible or am I being too snarky?
